Training Philosophy
A fundamental concept of Nature’s Glenn is the belief that every dog is unique.
Although dogs may have similarities, they each possess a distinct set of traits, allowing for potential to learn and to succeed in a singular way. Although levels of potential may differ, just as two empty glasses may differ in size, filling that potential is always a goal worth reaching regardless of capacity. Because success is as unique as each dog, Nature’s Glenn trains in a way that allows for individualized accomplishment and fulfillment.
Training
Obedience Training
Dogs thrive on leadership, structure, and routine. When they have this, dogs gain a sense of purpose and experience lower levels of fear, anxiety, and stress. Nature’s Glenn offers three different courses in obedience training specifically designed to meet dogs’ needs. Each course builds upon the previous and is highly customizable. All training is provided privately so that dogs and families receive the attention required for success. When registering for learning with Nature’s Glenn, you and your companion are setup for success from the start.
Nature’s Glenn also offers access to the Learning Den, an online members’ only area with access to training videos, supplemental dog information, and more.
Red Maple
Fundamental Learning Course
All things need a strong foundation from which to grow; learning is no different. Nature’s Glenn provides an unparalleled, comprehensive basic training program that provides dogs with skills not just to be successful, but to thrive. Owners are additionally educated in how dogs learn and are provided with knowledge on many aspects of the life of dogs, providing insight to a variety of topics and potential experiences.
The Red Maple (Fundamental Learning) course is a 9-week program, covering 12-learning expectations and a number of topics vital to dog ownership. Three month access to The Learning Den , a members only area, is included with the program.

Silver Birch
Intermediate Learning and Training
Skill development and refinement represent the framework of learning that is built upon the foundational elements in any form of education. With this in mind, Nature’s Glenn offers an in-depth intermediate training program that extends dogs’ learning from foundational principles. Owners are further educated on a variety of topics and interests.
The Silver Birch (Intermediate Learning) course is a 10-week, open-ended program, covering 20-learning expectations. It is designed to build upon the learning acquired during the Red Maple course. Although successful completion of the Red Maple program is a pre-requisite for enrollment, dogs who have completed a basic level of obedience outside of Nature’s Glenn training may be enrolled upon successful completion of a no-fee entry examination. Three month access to The Learning Den, a members only area, is included with the program.

White Oak
Advanced Learning and Training
All good things must come to an end, or so it has been said; but learning needs not be one of them. Finish, fit, and polish are the goals of the White Oak (Advanced Learning) course.
The White Oak (Advanced Learning) course is a 10-week program with an open ending, covering 12-learning expectations. It is designed to build upon the learning acquired during the Silver Birch course and refine training that has already occurred. Although successful completion of the Silver Birch program is a pre-requisite for enrollment, dogs who have completed an intermediate level obedience outside of Nature’s Glenn training may be enrolled upon successful completion of a no-fee entry examination. Three month access to The Learning Den, a members only area, is included with the program.
Dogs who have completed all levels of training with Nature’s Glenn will be well prepared to challenge the Canadian Kennel Club Good Neighbour Test.

Behaviour Modification
Despite all efforts and intentions, some dogs need a little extra help to be well-behaved and sociable in society. As such, Nature’s Glenn offers consultations and training to help those dogs who display fear, anxiety, and stress-based behaviours. By working closely with you and your veterinarian of choice, We strive to make things better for all involved.
Behaviour modification training includes a free-consultation and includes 5 sessions specifically created to match a dog’s particular needs.

Puppy Consultation
Are you thinking of purchasing a new puppy, or have you already done so? Are you feeling a bit lost, confused, or unsure?
Learning and healthy socialization starts from the moment a puppy is born through interactions with its mother and littermates. In fact, key learning occurs between 7 and 13 weeks of age. Every interaction a puppy has with the world represents an instance of learning, so it's never too early to start. Nature’s Glenn offers specialized 1-hour consultations on picking the right dog for you and for proper home preparation.

Retriever Program
Although dogs partaking in this program are trained to retrieve objects for field or hunting purposes, some owners may choose this program to bring their beloved companions game of fetch to the next level. Nature’s Glenn will customize training based on the individual skills of each dog entering the program.
